Review | Liz Earle Skincare

Last Friday, I went to a lovely breakfast at Birchbox to learn more about the brand Liz Earle. My first discovery of the brand was their cult product the Cleanse & Polish, which I received in a Birchbox back in October. It quickly became a favourite and is part of my Evening Skincare Routine. I was so excited to be able to discover more products from the line and share my thoughts with you.

As you can tell by that intro, I love the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. And this kit is a great way to try it out with a nice size bottle of the cleanser, two huge muslin cloths, and a cute bag to store them in. I refer to the Cleanse & Polish as a 'cleansing balm in a tube' as it's super creamy and melts away dirt and excess oil without stripping your skin. Removing it with the muslin cloth adds the most gentle exfoliation and feels amazing. The scent is super calming with a bit of refreshment due to the menthol. A product that was new to me, but I've seen around, is the Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer. I have been using this in so many ways-as a toner on a cotton pad, as a refreshing spray, and as a make-up setting spray. The aloe vera and cucumber make it refreshing and hydrating. The mist is very fine so it won't disturb your make-up if used as a setting spray. The skin tonic is also available in a travel size spray bottle as well as in a pour/squeeze nozzle form if you wanted to use it exclusively as a toner. I find it easy to just spray a cotton pad a few times for when I use it as a toning step. I do need to pick up the little travel size, so I can keep it in my purse! I have become a bit obsessed with chemical exfoliators and haven't used a manual one in awhile. Though I wouldn't recommend using a manual exfoliator very often this Gentle Face Exfoliator is exactly that-gentle. This product feels very similar to the Cleanse & Polish except with the addition of jojoba beads. I use this once a week or when my skin is feeling particular heavy with dirt such as after a workout, hot day outside, or crazy make-up.

I am amazed by how affordable the Liz Earle range is, especially for using ethically sourced natural ingredients. The packaging is a bit basic, but I like the simplicity and soft pastel shades. And most importantly, the pumps work amazingly! One pump is exactly enough for one use, as it should be but often isn't the case. If you are in the UK it's easy to find Liz Earle; however, it's much more difficult in the U.S. Some of the skincare items are available in the Birchbox shop, which is so convenient seeing as you can use those points! If you were to try anything from the range I would highly recommend the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleansing Kit. You get to try out the cult classic at a great value.

Have you tried Liz Earle skincare? What's your favourite product?

    1. It's so funny how there are so many UK brands I wish we had but then I know I'd miss the US exclusives as well. Crossing my fingers more of the brand comes over-I would love to try the cream blush!
